Free Printable Easter Card From The Cherry On Top

Hoppy Saturday, Hybrid Enthusiasts.

I've got a very simple printable Easter card for you.  I'm also showing off some coordinating digital scrapbooking templates with this fun, bright colour palette and some more long eared friends.

See what's in our shop, Kreative Design Studio and get scrappy this weekend!

I must apologise for these blurry pictures.  I guess it's time for a new camera.  I can't get a clear picture any more, no matter the setting.  Ugh!  I've got a small tutorial at the bottom of the blog.  It's really, very simple you'll see.

Bunny Business Templates and Quick Pages

I had so much fun designing these templates/quick pages.  You could simply clip your photos in and be done with it or you could clip in your own scrap kit and make it all yours.  See some examples below.

Bunny Business Templates and Quick Pages

I just love what Theresa did with the template.  Perfect!  She used goodies from A-Manda Creation.

Bunny Business templates and quick pages

Do you even recognise the template?!  I used the lovely free collection, Kindness Matters from the Digi Scrap Parade.  I really am pleased with the way it turned out.

 North Carolina Page Starter kit

Here's a look at my newest State series, mini kit with title art.  More to come soon.

 Dog Daze Templates

Another recent set of templates are my Dog Daze templates.  Make sure you get the right set.  I'm selling Page files separately when the files are large.

I've got some really fun, free word art on the blog from last week.  If you didn't get it, scroll back and add it to your stash.

 Stay Magical Templates

Here are some more extraordinary templates in the shop.  I teamed up with Made By Keuntje and designed some coordinating quick pages, templates and printables with her gorgeous kit, Stay Magical.  It is just dreamy!

 Stay Magical Templates

I'd love to see how you scrap up that unicorn template!

 The PurrFect Kit

My kitty kit willl make a super addition to your scrap stash.  So many different kitties and I really love the colours.

 Paper Wallet Template

If you are all about the hybrids.  You may be interested in my newest hybrid project in the shop.  I've got some templates, where you clip in your scrap goodies and design your very own wallet gift card with a space for money, gift cards and even a mini album if you like.  I've got a step by step tutorial on the blog to help you through it.

Here's how you get the card together from today.  Download the link at the bottom of the blog.  Print it out, fold...See how I left just a touch of the white paper around the blue background.  I think it looks really nice like this.

Then you cut the excess off and you're set.  (you may want to unfold the card to get the best cut.)

When you fold it properly, you get the saying in just the right spot.

See how nice it is with a bit of the white frame.  Darn camera!  Hehehe...It's such a cute card.  I hope you think so, too.

Here is the link for the free card.  Enjoy and remember it is for Personal Use ONLY.  It would be great if you shared our blog link and or Pinned us.

Happy hybridising!

Scrapbooking Organisation

Welcome, Traditional Scrappers.

Today, I'm showing my organisation system or perhaps the lack there of.  Hehehe...For some this might not be organised at all, but for me, it doesn't get any better than this.  Hehehe...Like many of you, organising all of this stuff is just dreadful.  I want to PLAY with it, not organise it.  Hehehe...

I have a huge desk.  I think it's about 5 feet long and 3 feet wide.  Yet, I might have 2 feet, in total to actual scrap in.  I am so, so bad.  I might try to clean my desk once every two years or so.  Every time I go to sit down and scrap, I'm nearly put off by the mess.  I must confess that you will not find one piece or garbage.  If it's on the desk, it will get scrapped eventually.  Hehehe...

My photos might be a little useful for you or perhaps you'll feel really good about your organisation system.  Hehehe...There is also a possibility you're shaking your head thinking, "yip, just like mine".  Ha!

I have several, helpful drawers in my desk which really are well organised.  My centre drawer is full of my most useful products such as adhesives, scissors, rulers, pencils, erasers, ink and paper for ideas and sketching.  Each compartmentalised with shoe box lids.

Another drawer has all of my large alphas and the other small alpha sheets.  Not really easy to go through, but at least separated from the rest.

I have another drawer full of miss matched, small, clear jars full of tiny embellishments.  I save tiny jars from food products, clean them out, let them dry and fill them.  It's a pretty great system.

Above you'll see my favourite drawer.  It's full of ribbon.  Most of the ribbon are wrapped around cardboard and nearly placed in the drawer.  I've got a few spools that don't fit on my hanger, which you'll see later and then this shoe box full of loose, smaller bits of ribbon.

I really dig this Ikea piece of furniture.  In the bottom are my glitter and glitter glues.  The middle drawer is full of the punches I use most.  The box on top, of punches I don't use much and the top drawer are my excess adhesives and some other tools I rarely use.

This is a roll of uber thick glue dots and the way I store my all time favourite glue pen when it's nearly empty.

I totally keep my collections in contact.  They are stored in clear, plastic bags and placed in a diaper box.  As are all of my papers.  I have several diaper boxes holding my organised papers.  I have 12x12's in one box arranged in rainbow order with design paper in the back according to theme such as antique, floral, kids...Another box has my 8x11 papers organised the same way and then I have another box for even smaller papers and those paper books you can purchase.

My "scraps" are also stored in a transparent, plastic bag which I might clean out every 5 years or so.  hehehe...I'm getting much better at throwing away small scraps.

I love this idea, too!  Keep your spooled ribbon on a pants hanger like this one.  Not all of them will fit there.  Those are the ones in the drawer.  This is so easy to see, match and cut.

If I do use a container that ya can't see through, I adhere an example of what is in it, like illustrated above.

Ha!  How's that for a disaster!  See all my diaper boxes right at my feet?  All of my drawers as explained.  On top of my desk is another tiny set of drawers full of tags, bling and photos I really want to scrap.  I've got nearly all of my pens and markers in that large yogurt bucket, which I pimped up with muffin papers.  See it here.

The furniture to the left and right comes from a hospital's garbage.  The one on the right is my wrapping paper station, though there is no room to wrap.  Ooopsy...To the left another awesomely organised area.  For real!  All of my buttons, paper flowers, edging scissors, chipboard embellishments, washi and venire goodies are all organised in there.

I recently found my wooden mug holder which I saw someone organise their washi on.  It still hasn't made it to my area yet, but it's on the way.

Go to this link for some great organisation ideas.

And that chaotic disaster is where I create and I think it's an excellent example of my brain and how it works.  Hehehe...

I'd love to see your workspace and if you have some awesome organisation ideas, hit us up!

We'll be back with more scrapbooking inspiration next week when we show off our caterpillar page.  See the first part of that blog, here.

Happy scrapping!

Taking Digital Scrapbooking Templates To Paper and Another Free One

Welcome to hybrid Saturday with The Cherry On Top.

Wednesday, we had a free template from the Leigh Penrod and Friends train.  It's every month that we scrappy designers get together and put a train full of lovely freebies for you.  Here's a look at what I did with my template.  Keep reading to see other ways to scrap with templates and at the end, I've got a nifty freebie for you so you too can print and hold the completed template page in your hands.

Thank goodness for nieces!  I have two boys and sure do love an excuse to go all pink and purple on a page.  Check out how you can crop in a photo or a paper or both in my template.

I just love the way this one came out and it was insanely easy thanks to my stacked badges.  They are a small part of my collaboration with Made By Keuntje.  Stay Magical is an extraordinary kit that should be apart of everyone's stash whether that be digital or traditional.  We've put together several pages for printing and scrapbooking traditionally.

 free template

If you missed this free template, no worries.  It is still available.  Click on the preview to get to the blog for the download link.

 Stacked Badges

These are the badges.  Aren't they so much fun?!  Just ,99 cents for six of them.

 Planner Printables

I wanted to give you a closer look at the planner printables and see how they can be used for scrapbooking as well as agendas and planners.

 Planner Printables

These make the cutest stickers.  I've got a hybrid project on the make and I'll be sharing it with you once it's completed.

 Stay Magical Planner Printables

Just look at all of the fun cards on these 3 sheets.  Not bad at all at 2.99 for everything!

OK, let's get hybridising!

Cut out the free frame and use it as a template on your favourite paper.  I totally did the frame in my software and printed it out.  You can too, because it comes in png format.

Cut out your pretty page, your frame and a strip to adhere to the back so your frame can stand.  Keep the width of the strip to at least 2 inches so it stands with ease.

I adhered my page right to the top of my frame.  I did NOT cut out the centre, but of course, you could cut the centre out and put your page behind the frame.  Of course, the more rigid paper you use, the more rigid your frame will be.  I went for a mega rigid frame and flimsy, slightly glossy paper for my page. I figured the frame is giving enough strength to the project.

 Free Frame template
This image is linked to the free template.

How easy was that?!  You can totally scrap this for free, easily and quickly.  Now, that is the kind of project The Cherry is all about.  The kit was free, the frame is free and the template is free.  No complaining and no excuses.  Get scrapping!

Now that you've been chewed out, I hope you enjoyed today's blog.  Hehehe...Come on back Tuesdays, Friday's and Saturday's for more scrapping with sass!  Hehehe...

Fabulous Scrapbooking Freebies For Friday

Welcome to Freebie Friday with The Cherry On Top.

As usual we are here to bring you fabulous scrapbooking inspiration and show off DigiLand's newest goodies for scrapbooking.  These designs can be used traditionally or digitally.  If you're a die hard traditional scrapper, don't be turned away by digital.  You can totally lift our inspiration for your personal pages.  Often, for Traditional Tuesday, I show how to take a digital design to paper pages.

I'm showing off new goodies from Throwing Some Scraps Around, Aimee Harrison Designs and new templates from The Cherry On Top with your fur babies in mind, again.  Of course, I've links to some of the hottest freebies on the net.

 Throwing Some Scraps Around templates

Can you believe these two pages were made with a free collection?  That's right!  These pretty pages show off the Digi Scrap Parade's goodies and they are ALWAYS fabulous.  This one really won me over.  The colours!  Divine!  For both layouts, I used Throwing Some Scraps Around new, fabulous templates, Circle Me.

How's that picture above, for a throwback?!  What I wouldn't do for those tanned skinny arms and that lovely shade of blonde.  Man!  Beach life in Florida was tough.  Hehehe...

 Throwing Some Scraps Around templates

Here's a more modern shot of some beautiful swans swimming in the Mosel River in Germany.  They did not appreciate our intrusion and sent us running.   Hehehe...But how about this kit and these great templates?!  A must have for your scrap stash, for sure.

Recognise my page layout?  I used my newest set of digital templates found in our shop, Kreative Design Studio.  A huge shout out to all of our customers so far.  We're off to one heck of a good start and wanted to thank store visitors, too.  Favouriting our shop and our items makes them more visible for others.  If ya don't have the dosh to buy our items, you can always "thank" us by leaving love around social spots, including our store.

Aimee Harrison's newest release, Forever Friends is so bold and beautiful it just makes ya smile!

 Dog Daze PAGE templates

I want to point out something exceptional with this series of templates and that is the packaging and formats.  Notice, in the top left corner, Page Only and PSD, TIF, PNG.  Page formats are often larger than other formats and Etsy's upload sizes are only 20 mb so I had to separate these templates to meet these requirements.  Page format is sold separately .  so make sure you order the correct one.  If ya do mess it up, no worries.  Just shoot me an e-mail and we'll get it all straightened out.

Allow  me to woo you with some lovely inspiration from my Cherry-Tastic Team.
