Welcome to The Cherry On Top.
We are back with some seriously phenomenal scrapbooking page inspiration, some tips and examples on how to use the new templates and links to free, digital scrapbooking goodies from The Cherry and other digital designers.
A couple of scrappy sisters asked if I would design some planner style templates and I was more than thrilled to fill their request. I'm totally going to think up some more designs for templates like these. I was very pleased how fast my pages scrapped. The first three pages are mine. Allow me to walk you through these fabulous layouts.
So many kits came to mind when I sat down to play with these templates. It was not easy to choose. I typed in "pen" in my "finder" to see what kinds of kits would come up and Key Lime Digi Designs, Pen To Paper popped up. Sandy designs exquisite kits and collections. Just look at this fabulous color palette and classy, original goodies. Last time I looked, the collection was 50% off!
You can see in my page above, that I moved around the photo spots to suit my needs and so can you. Ahh...the beauty of using digital templates. Take a peek at how I arranged the papers in the stack. Make sure the surrounding papers contrast to add more interest or to make each one stand out and not just blend all in together. Like dark, light, dark for example. I used SnickerDoodle Design silver styles on my binder. Even a bevel might work for you.
I got SO lucky with my pictures coordinating with the papers. There is red in the kit, but I left it out to give my page more cohesion and you know me...I go bunkers if there are too many colors. I really thought it'd take me a long time to scrap this template and winded up feeling guilty for how fast it went. Hehehe...Use pretty papers and journal cards in your photo spots, if you like.
Made By Keuntje and Dagi's Temptations have teamed up again, this month to offer a huge fabulous collection to document your month or season if you like. That's the goodies I used for my page, above. You will not believe just how much you get in this collection. Definitely worth every penny. Take a look.
Dana has a free alpha for you on her blog. Isn't it the sweetest?!
Speaking of freebies...I used GingerScraps hop around to get a ton of free digital goodies and used a lot of them for this page. The clips were from another kit from Aimee Harrison. If you follow in our group, you knew about these goodies, too. Our group is very, very active and I and my scrappy sisters share a lot of free goodies, too. Join us there!
LouCee Creations has a fabulous, new kit out, too. Check out Puddle Jumping at GingerScraps. You might want to check out her blog or newsletter, too. She often has coordinating freebies. I've got it linked up in the side bar for you.
Now, on to the pages from some seriously talented scrappy sisters.
Ella has done the first two pages and they are beyond fabulous, right?! Totally EEK! worthy. While I went for a more messy desk type of grouping with my ellies, Ella used a more traditional manner of clustering for hers. Choose the style that works best for you or use them both. These goodies from River Rose are stunning!
Is this next page not a jaw dropper?! My goodness! Not only is the design magnificent, but the products are to die for. Kristen Cronin Barrows is definitely at the top of my favorite digital designer list. This collection is so amazing! Follow Your Heart can be found, here.
Tammy is amazing at mixing it up. I find it so time consuming and I'm not very good at it. She used all kids of items from The Lily Pad. A lot of them come from M3 and LiLi Wee. Pretty fab, right?
How much are we loving Hilary's pages?! You must forgive me for all of the questions. I am a teacher at heart. Hehehe...
Are ya wowed or what?! Holy wowzerz to Ella's fab page. These goodies are totally rocking, too! Toyland from Studio Flergs. Find it at the Sweet Shoppe.
You know I'm loving all of the sass in Cassies page! Get Through from Meagan's Creations is so perfect with these templates.
Cindy is just brilliant at artistic style pages and she has not let us down with this one. Little Butterfly Wings certainly has some gorgeously unique designs.
Jarmila is a star of a scrapper. Here's another gorgeous page from her using My Garden by Boo Land Designs.
It's A Plan is a collection from the Sweet Shoppe and if I might say so, pretty perfect for these templates. I'm afraid to say, this collection is no longer available from Sweet Shoppe. It was one of those deals where ya had to grab it really fast and it was gone.
Rochelle made her page in a bit more of a traditional look and it looks great!
Color Me Festive had some nifty stuff to go with the templates. I was pleased as punch to see Michal kept so many of my ellies on her page.
I hope you like the new templates. You'll really be pleased how fast they scrap up and how gorgeous your pages are going to be.
I'll show ya really quick, the last few templates sets in case you missed.
Danica is so talented. Look at her gorgeous page with last week's templates, Stitch In Time.
Our One Word Wonders kit, Ethereal with free template.
Sew Pretty is exactly that!
Here's a re cap of some of our latest freebies. Each one is linked up for you. The challenges can be found in our group, under photos and the corresponding month.
Here are some more fabulous freebies from DigiLand.
Sweet Shoppe has the new 2019 Free Samples available. They are amazing!
