Welcome to The Cherry On Top.
We've got all kinds of scrap-alicious going on today and yesterday. If you missed yesterday's blog, hop back and check it out. Today, there are some new freebies and a few scrappy gift ideas for dad as well as other ideas that might be right up dad's alley.
I released some new templates yesterday and used one of them for this page using JoCee Designs new to Sweet Shoppe Designs, Rustic Beach. I knew exactly what pictures I wanted to use because I some how remembered the colors were the same. There are a lot more page layouts with the new templates on yesterday's blog.
If you're here for the freebies, then check out this one in Jo's group.
Speaking of Sweet Shoppe, I used some goodies from an awesome collection, Dadalicious from Clever Monkey Graphics and Studio Basics to design this free printable recipe card with dad in mind. My husband loves the grill. Big thanks to Tracey for letting me use some of her goodies.
This was a really fun project. Click to see the tutorial and get the free template.
We've got several blogs geared towards dad. Check out this one and one of our most popular blogs, Manly Eats. You can find another fun, free printable. It might be a bit dated, but it is still fun.
- twine
- exotic wood chips
- thermometer (There are some really amazing ones out there. Even ones with Apps)
- cast iron wear for the grill
- good knives and accessories like prongs, fork, spatula
- a metal basket for veggies and such
- metal mesh bag
- cleaning brush (lemons work great to clean your grill, too)
- rubs and sauces
My husband loves Weber's recipes and the BBQ Pit Boys if you want to fill in this card with a recipe you'd like for him to whip up on the grill. Maybe print out several and get him a little book ready?
Thanks so much for giving The Cherry a little bit of your day. I hope we made it worth your while.
Happy scrapping!
