Welcome to another scrappy edition of The Cherry On Top.
Get ready for some serious layout inspiration, a new fabulous collection from Aimee Harrison, some tips on how to use a designer's collection and a freebie, too.
You are going to love all of the goodies in the Celebration of You collection from Aimee Harrison. I hardly knew where to start when it came to all of those gorgeous papers and elements.
I blended several papers with various masks from my stash and played with the opacity of them to get this look. One of the elements you'll get in this kit is that pink glittery floral stamp that you see all around the edges. I just kept copying, pasting and placing it around to make a frame effect.
I used one mask twice. Once for the photo and for the paper under the photo. the one underneath, I inverted so the lines from the mask can be seen at the bottom and the top giving it a more evenly balanced look.
If you've never bought a collection, you should definitely try it, at least once! Especially, if you are one of those scrappers that are looking for bang for your buck or if you're short on time. Often collections have ready made clusters, word art, stacked papers, borders, alphas, tags or badges and sometimes, even quick pages.
Aimee's kit has a super collection of beautiful clusters, word bits and various word art which is totally awesome when you're stumped at what to title your work or for basic journaling. I used the clusters and various word art from the collection in all three of my layouts to show you how to use ALL of the packs in a collection.
The clusters make scrapping very, very fast. My second layout didn't take long at all to make because I used one of the clusters from the collection and then just repeated some of the elements from the cluster in my other cluster with the two smaller pictures. I linked on some lovely word art and voila, my layout was finished in under 30 minutes.
Here's a good look at the collection. If you do decide on the collection you can grab it for a limited time at a totally awesome deal of just $8! Normally, it's over $20 for a collection like this. You can also decide to buy the packs you like best for just $1, but only for a limited time. That's pretty incredible.
Your freebie, today is a paper stacker. I used those lovely layered up masks and papers from the collection and added this cluster and some butterflies from the kit to finish it off. Keep scrolling to see what you can do with a paper stacker. Paper stackers save a lot of time. They give more flexility than quick pages. I thought it would be a nice edition to the collection.
All you need to do is add a picture, one of Aimee's super clusters from the collection and a couple more elements and you're layout will be finished. This layout was made in under 15 minutes thanks to the pre made clusters and the paper stacker. I also used one of the alphas from the collection.
You are totally set with a super deal on a gorgeous collection. You've got some serious inspiration and ya even grabbed a free page stacker. Now, all you have to do is scrap!
Thanks so much for giving The Cherry a part of your day.
