Welcome to The Cherry's 3rd Challenge, scrappers!
Ya might guess what the challenge is from my first scrapbook layout. It's a Black and or White Challenge. That's right! I'm doing mah' own thang' and putting a twist on it. You can scrap a white page, a black page and or a black and white page. You are allowed to add a splash of another color. Your layout should be at least 80% black and or white. I'm not great at fractions or percentages and I don't plan on nitpicking entries either. Check out our examples.
If you missed the first challenge, pop over to this blog and grab your freebie there. The second challenge is here. Did ya miss the FREE one month GOLD membership for Plus?
Here's my page I just scrapped for this challenge. I used the Very Vintage Collection from the shop. It's 50% off, but I will be giving parts of it away. If you can wait, fine. If not, just grab it while it's such a fantastic deal and support The Cherry.
I did use a splash of gold and one foliage. I'd love if ya kept it all black and or white, but I totally get wanting to add a splash of color.
Very Vintage Collection 50% Off
I grabbed this page that I remembered I scrapped for my niece. Not only was the template fantastic, I remembered it was mostly white. This would be a great entry. Don't forget to put your page in the album in our group if you want to win prizes or to help win more freebies through your participation.

How about my layout, below? I did not plan this. It just kind of spilled right out as I was doing my niece's wedding album. I've got a video of the entire album if you want to see what a digital album looks like. I was a traditional scrapper for decades before I started also scrapping digitally and I can tell ya, I was so surprised at the result. It takes half the time. It's cheaper. The ellies won't fall off and there is zero mess.
There are packs in Plus at Design Bundles. Type "scrapbook wedding" in the search and see what comes up. You could grab a collection that coordinates beautifully with those packs at GingerScraps.
Theresa designed a page with Very Vintage. She wasn't super cool with all of those vivid colors. So, she pulled out the black and whites and added a splash of gold, just like I did! It looks like she also reduced the saturation on the perfume bottles to make it all blend. Great idea, right?! Bring down the saturation to nearly any picture or element to turn it black and white.
Below, is the free Personal Use kit offered to newsletter recipients and fans. You're going to need this for a future challenge. If you plan on doing all of the challenges, then I recommend you sign up and download it while it lasts. It won't be in my shop at Kreative Design Studio because it is Personal Use and not Commercial.
You can scrap beautifully with the goodies and they coordinate like magic with the Very Vintage Collection. It's 50% off along with the rest of the shop and the new templates. Enjoy the savings and the challenges, fun and games. There's a lot more to come.
I'll be back soon with another challenge. Make sure ya read the rules from the first post that I linked. So you don't miss out or bog me down with questions. Hehehe...It's just little ole me running the whole darn thing.
Oh! I might have huge news any minute. Stay tuned!
Thanks for joining in on the fun.
